Bufete Barrilero joins Alex Txikon on the Everest expedition

Bufete Barrilero y Asociados is to join Alex Txikon, the experienced Basque mountaineer, on the winter ascent of Mount Everest. He is attempting the summit in the middle of winter and without supplementary oxygen. The expedition faces extreme weather conditions with temperatures up to 60 degrees below zero and powerful winds exceeding 150 kmh.
 
The support given to Alex Txikon by Bufete Barrilero y Asociados highlights our shared values of tenacity, the capacity to face up to challenges and the importance of team work. To accomplish this challenge Txikon is counting on a group of collaborators, among them the Pakistani Ali Sadpara, with whom he already made history in 2016 when they reached the summit of Nanga Parbat ( 8.125m) in winter and without supplementary oxygen.
 
So far Everest has only been climbed in winter once, in 1980 by the Polish climbers Wielicki and Cichy whose conquering feat made use of supplementary oxygen.  Alex Txikon and his team are filming the entire expedition with the aim of making viewers participants in the challenge.
