Miguel Etchart

Bachelor of Laws Degree at Deusto University (1991).
He joined Bufete Barrilero y Asociados in 1993, and he has developed the whole of his professional career in the Mercantile Division of the Firm, being appointed as a partner in 2007.
Within the Mercantile Division his practice has focused mainly on the areas of civil, corporate, insolvency and mercantile law, rendering advice in all kinds of legal matters relating to contractual, family and succession law, as well as in mercantile matters affecting all types of corporate groups.
He is a specialist in all kinds of restructuring and corporate transactions (e.g. mergers, split-offs, blanket assets and liabilities assignments, stockholders’ agreements, corporate liquidations).
Besides, he has taken part in a large number of legal proceedings, and he renders services as an insolvency manager since 2006.
He has always known how to combine his professional tasks with on-going training, and as a result of that he is a certified mediator qualified to render mediation services within civil and mercantile areas. Apart from this, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Corporate Management from the Basque Country University in the academic year 2011-2012.
He is highly committed to teaching, an evidence of which is his collaboration as a trainer in several Master’s Degrees organized by Deusto University (2000-2006) and by the Basque Country University (2012-2014).
In addition, he has delivered many presentations on corporate groups, and on corporate and insolvency matters.
