Cristina Rodríguez

Bachelor of Laws Degree at the Basque Country University (1998) and Master’s Degree in Fiscal Advice from Deusto University.

In September 1999 she joined Bufete Barrilero y Asociados, where she has developed her professional career. She started her professional practice in the fiscal area, acquiring a sound knowledge in that discipline. In 2009 she accepted the challenge of continuing her professional career by rechanneling her knowledge into labor law, and since then she has been rendering her services in this latter law area.

At present, due precisely to her specialization in both fiscal and labor law she does not only have a larger professional scope and recognition but she is able to render advisory services beyond the reach of a purely labor attorney or tax attorney. In fact, she has become a key employee in all kinds of advisory services rendered to management (e.g. recruitment, contract termination, golden parachute contracts, …) and expatriates, as well as in corporate restructuring transactions, corporate transfers (e.g. corporate subrogation), staff renewal and reorganization.

She is the head of the San Sebastian Labor Division and director of the Practical Course on Corporate Law run by Bufete Barrilero y Asociados in order to provide practical training to young attorneys willing to practice law, and besides she works at the Bilbao headquarters.

Apart from all the above, she has delivered several presentations at the Association for the Progress of Management (“APD”), the Vizcaya Bar Association and the Basque Professional Association of Economists, but during several years she has also collaborated as a lecturer in the Master’s Degree in Fiscal Advice run by Deusto University.
