Bachelor of Laws major, minor in Economic Law at Deusto University (1991) and Master’s Degree in Fiscal Law from the same university (1992).
In 1991 he joined Bufete Barrilero y Asociados, where he has developed his professional career, and in 2003 he was appointed as a partner of the Fiscal Division.
His area of practice has focused on fiscal law, especially on the rendering of advisory services to corporate groups belonging to the industrial, finance and service sectors.
One of his main distinguishing features is his great ability to combine a deep knowledge of corporate fiscal law with a high capacity to analyze in depth non-tax institutions as legal structures governed by Stock Exchange regulations, SOCIMIS (Spanish Real Estate Investment Trusts), FATCA regulations, R&D&I law, and other miscellaneous matters.
In addition, he frequently delivers presentations on current tax issues in several forums, and he also collaborates as a lecturer in the Master’s Degree in Fiscal Law run by Deusto University.
