His professional career has developed almost entirely in the Law Firm, where he joined in 1993, having become a partner in 2007.
Within the Commercial Division, his practice has developed in the field of civil, corporate, bankruptcy, and general commercial law, advising on all types of civil matters related to obligations and contracts and family and succession matters, and corporate matters typical of any group of companies.
He is an expert in all types of restructuring and corporate operations (mergers, divisions, global transfers of assets and liabilities, shareholders’ agreements, and liquidations of companies, among others).
Additionally, he has participated in numerous judicial proceedings and has been acting as bankruptcy administrator since 2006.
Miguel Etchart has managed to combine his professional work with on-going training, and as a result, he has obtained the title of Mediator in civil and commercial matters, as well as having completed a Master’s Degree in Business Management at the University of the Basque Country (2011-2012).
He is highly involved in teaching, having taught classes in various Master’s programs both at the University of Deusto (2000-2006) and at the University of the Basque Country (2012-2014).
Likewise, he has participated in numerous conferences on group of companies, and on corporate and bankruptcy issues.
